Game Client Team Lead

About the role

Playnetic is seeking a Game Client Team Lead to head its client‑side development team in Tbilisi. You will combine hands‑on engineering with technical leadership, guiding a group of 6‑7 developers through the evolution of our Java‑based engine toward a modern PIXI.js architecture while ensuring stable, on‑time game releases.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage a multidisciplinary client development team, setting goals and monitoring performance.
• Provide technical direction, solve complex engineering challenges, and maintain high coding standards.
• Mentor developers, support career growth, and drive continuous improvement of engineering processes.
• Collaborate with product and technical stakeholders to align delivery schedules with roadmap commitments.
• Design and implement new engine features and reusable systems for future scalability.
• Oversee hiring, onboarding, and retention initiatives for the team.

Required profile

• Proven experience in client‑side software development and leading technical teams.
• Strong debugging and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Ability to balance delivery deadlines with technical quality.
