Field Service Technician – Perimeter Security Systems

About the role

AMAROK is seeking a Field Service Technician to support its nationwide perimeter security solutions. The role involves traveling Monday‑Friday to customer sites within a 150‑250 mile radius to perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and system upgrades on advanced security systems.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and upgrades on security equipment at customer locations.
• Assist the Install Department with site planning, jurisdictional compliance, inspections, and system commissioning.
• Prioritize daily service calls, plan routes, and ensure timely, high‑quality completion of work.
• Maintain strong professional relationships with customers through service, training, and support.
• Provide assistance to fellow technicians and promote teamwork.
• Drive safely, adhere to traffic laws, and manage inventory and service documentation.
• Submit expense and service reports in accordance with company policies.

Required profile

• Available to travel Monday‑Friday with a valid driver’s license.
• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience troubleshooting and installing security or related systems.
• OSHA certification or strong familiarity with OSHA compliance preferred.
• Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders up to 30 ft, and operate power equipment safely.
• Basic math skills for measuring and configuring systems.

Required skills

• Access‑control system installation and troubleshooting.
• Fire‑alarm system knowledge (preferred).
• Operation of aerial lifts, concrete saws, jackhammers, augers and mixers.
• OSHA safety standards.
