Communications Specialist – Public Relations

About the role

The Communications Specialist will craft clear, accurate, and engaging messages that support both internal and external communication strategies for Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America. Working within the Communications and Public Relations team, you will be the primary writer and editor for a variety of audiences, ensuring consistency with brand standards and organizational tone.

Key responsibilities

• Write, edit, and proofread internal and external communications, including employee announcements, newsletters, and executive messages.
• Draft press releases, media advisories, speeches, presentations, and Q&A documents for senior leadership.
• Develop and support communication strategies for key initiatives, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines.
• Review communications from team members and partners for clarity, consistency, and accuracy.
• Translate technical or operational information into easily understandable content for diverse audiences.
• Coordinate with various departments to gather information and manage communication requests.
• Support media relations, respond to inquiries, arrange interviews, and prepare briefing materials.
• Assist with social‑media content planning, copywriting, and campaign support.
• Contribute to crisis and issue communications as needed.
• Represent the company at community, government, and media events.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, or a related field.
• Minimum five years of professional writing experience.
• Proven ability to write for multiple audiences, including employees, executives, media, and the public.
• Exceptional editing, proofreading, and attention‑to‑detail skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple projects and meet competing deadlines.
