CMS & DAM Engineer – Digital News Platform

About the role

Solvd Inc. is seeking a CMS & DAM Engineer to build a brand‑new digital news platform for a major international news brand. The platform is video‑first, breaking‑news‑first, and must handle extreme traffic while supporting end‑to‑end newsroom workflows from draft to publish.

Key responsibilities

• Configure and develop the selected CMS (AEM or Amplience), including content models, templates, components, and editorial workflows.
• Implement publishing, scheduling, and high‑traffic homepage mode‑switching capabilities.
• Design and configure digital asset management (DAM) workflows, metadata structures, taxonomy, rights, and embargo management.
• Integrate CMS with DAM, video pipelines, search services, and downstream distribution platforms.
• Provide testing, editorial training, production stabilization, and multi‑year support.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience configuring and developing on AEM or Amplience in a production environment.
• Proven ability to implement content models, taxonomy, and editorial workflows.
• Experience with digital asset management, metadata design, and rights management.
