Valuation Officer – Asset Management

About the role

BOG Asset Management is seeking a Valuation Officer to join its investment team. The role focuses on daily and periodic valuation of a wide range of financial instruments held by the firm’s investment and pension funds, ensuring accurate fair‑value measurement and compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily and periodic valuation of securities, deposits, loans, derivatives and other instruments.
• Calculate and review fair value for fixed‑income securities, equities and other assets.
• Obtain, validate and analyse market data such as prices, yield curves, interest rates, credit spreads and FX rates.
• Apply appropriate valuation models when observable market prices are unavailable.
• Review pricing information from external sources, brokers and counterparties.
• Identify and investigate material price movements, valuation discrepancies and unusual portfolio changes.
• Conduct independent price verification and reconcile results with internal and external sources.
• Support NAV calculation and ensure valuation aligns with firm policies.
• Maintain documentation of methodologies, assumptions and market inputs.
• Participate in the development and improvement of valuation policies, procedures and internal controls.
• Prepare valuation‑related reports for management, auditors and regulators.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, Accounting or a related field.
• Relevant experience in asset management, investment banking, commercial banking, financial analysis, valuation, risk management or audit is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of financial markets and instruments, especially fixed‑income securities.
