About the role

We are seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead our new plastic food‑storage container production facility in the Kutaisi Hualing Free Industrial Zone, Georgia. The manager will be responsible for running daily operations, guaranteeing food‑safety compliance, and establishing efficient production systems from scratch.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of plastic injection lines, molds and packaging units to meet efficiency, quality and safety targets.
• Ensure production complies with food‑contact standards such as ISO 22000, HACCP and FDA regulations.
• Coordinate audits and maintain compliance with SEDEX SMETA, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
• Liaise with free‑zone authorities, customs and local officials to secure permits and smooth logistics.
• Drive OEE improvement, waste reduction and energy/material saving projects.
• Oversee preventive maintenance and repair of injection machines and molds.
• Lead, train and evaluate both blue‑collar and white‑collar staff, fostering a strong safety culture.
• Integrate supply‑chain activities from raw‑material receipt to final product export.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a factory or production manager in the plastic injection or molding sector.
• Proven expertise in thin‑wall food‑container production and food‑packaging processes.
• English proficiency is a plus.
• Knowledge of Lean, 5S, Kaizen and Total Quality Management principles.
• Strong problem‑solving, crisis‑management and multicultural leadership abilities.
