Team Leader – Transport Infrastructure Projects

About the role

SMEC is seeking an experienced Team Leader to head the supervision team for a major road and bridge project in Georgia. The role involves delivering the assignment to international standards, managing stakeholder relationships, and ensuring contractual compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership to the supervision team on the Georgia road and bridge assignment.
• Manage stakeholder relationships and ensure delivery aligns with international standards and contractual requirements.
• Oversee project planning, execution, and reporting under FIDIC‑based contracts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 20 years of professional experience in transport infrastructure, including at least 10 years in senior leadership or project management roles.
• PMP certification or equivalent project management credential.
• At least 10 years of international project experience, preferably across multiple countries.
• Experience with ADB, World Bank, EBRD, AIIB‑funded projects and familiarity with the Central Asia/Caucasus region is strongly preferred.
