Staff Accountant (Remote, GAAP Focus)

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Staff Accountant to maintain accurate monthly books for U.S. healthcare clients. Working remotely from the Republic of Georgia and aligned with the New York time zone, you will ensure financial records are up‑to‑date and compliant with GAAP.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of facility financial activity, post and review monthly revenue, and reconcile balance‑sheet accounts.
• Execute month‑end close procedures, complete quality checklists, and review P&L statements.
• Communicate with internal departments and management to resolve issues and provide timely reports.
• Assist senior staff in developing annual revenue, expense, and staffing budgets.
• Support audit processes, compile data for external audits and tax filings, and review bank statements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or current enrollment in an accounting program.
• Understanding of accounting processes and GAAP compliance.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently.
• Strong attention to detail and effective written and verbal communication.
