Staff Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Staff Accountant to maintain accurate monthly books for our clients. Working remotely from the Republic of Georgia and aligned with the New York time zone, you will ensure financial operations run smoothly and securely.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of facility financial activity, post and review monthly revenue, and reconcile balance‑sheet accounts.
• Complete month‑end close procedures, quality checklists, and review monthly P&L statements while collaborating with finance operations teams.
• Communicate with internal departments to resolve issues, inform management of potential barriers, and prepare timely reports for management and clients.
• Assist senior staff in developing annual revenue, expense, and staffing budgets, and review final budgets with management.
• Support audit processes, train new employees, suggest workflow improvements, compile data for external audits and tax filings, and review bank statements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or current enrollment in an accounting program.
• Understanding of accounting processes and GAAP compliance.
• Basic accounting knowledge with a willingness to expand expertise.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently.
• Strong attention to detail and aptitude for learning new systems and policies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer proficiency, including the Microsoft Office Suite.
