Software Engineer – Full‑Time, 5+ Years Experience

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned Software Engineer to join our Engineering/Technology team. The role involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining high‑quality software applications in a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications.
• Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code.
• Analyse business and technical requirements and translate them into software solutions.
• Debug and resolve software issues and performance problems.
• Participate in code reviews and follow software development best practices.
• Work closely with developers, QA engineers, product managers, and other teams.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation.
• Contribute to improving application performance, reliability, and security.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry best practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering or a related field (preferred).
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in at least one language such as Java, Python, C#, C++, or JavaScript.
• Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and version control using Git.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) – preferred.
• Knowledge of containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD tools – preferred.
• Awareness of automated testing and application security – preferred.
