SME Credit Analyst

About the role

We are looking for an SME Credit Analyst to join Credo Bank in Tbilisi. The analyst will support the credit committee by preparing detailed financial analyses and credit memoranda for SME loan proposals.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare comprehensive financial analysis and credit memoranda for projects presented to the credit committee.
• Assess client creditworthiness, including financial statement analysis, cash‑flow evaluation and calculation of key indicators such as DSCR and EBITDA.
• Conduct client interviews and, when necessary, on‑site visits to evaluate business operations.
• Design optimal loan structures (amount, term, schedule, collateral) aligned with the client’s financial condition and risk profile.
• Present and defend projects at the credit committee.
• Monitor granted loans, continuously controlling portfolio quality, client financial health and risk indicators.
• Manage the credit portfolio, identify problem loans early and react accordingly.
• Report analysis results, visit findings and outcomes, and communicate recommendations to improve client financial standing.

Required profile

• University degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration or Mathematics.
• Minimum one year of experience in banking or finance, preferably in SME credit analysis.
• Knowledge of financial statement preparation and analysis (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
• Understanding of basic accounting and financial standards.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
• High level of responsibility and independent decision‑making.
• Effective teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to plan work efficiently and manage priorities.
