Senior Resident Engineer – Road & Bridge Projects

About the role

The Senior Resident Engineer will lead day‑to‑day site supervision for a major road and bridge project in Georgia, coordinating technical teams and supporting the Team Leader to ensure quality, safety, schedule and contract compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily site supervision activities for road and bridge works.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary technical teams on‑site.
• Support the Team Leader in maintaining quality, safety, schedule and contract compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
• Professional registration (PE, Chartered Engineer, EUR ING or equivalent).
• Minimum 15 years of experience in road, highway and transport infrastructure projects.
• At least 8 years of international project experience, preferably across multiple countries.
• Proven experience supervising major highway construction, including pavements, earthworks, structures, bridges and interchanges.
• Experience with FIDIC or similar contract conditions.
• Ability to lead site‑based engineering teams and interact with contractors and clients.
• Experience on ADB, World Bank, EBRD, AIIB or other MDB‑funded projects is highly desirable.
• Prior work in Central Asia or the Caucasus region is strongly preferred.
• Excellent English communication and report‑writing skills.
