Senior Platform Engineer – Hybrid HPC on AWS & On-Prem

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to design, build and operate a hybrid high-performance computing platform that spans AWS and on-premises data centres for a global agricultural science company. You will own the core infrastructure, Kubernetes services, CI/CD pipelines, identity management, networking and security, ensuring the environment is fully reproducible from code.

Key responsibilities

• Provision AWS resources with Terraform and configure Linux hosts in both AWS and external data‑centres using Ansible, enabling full infrastructure‑as‑code.
• Deploy and manage a shared Kubernetes cluster (observability, Keycloak, HashiCorp Vault, web apps) via GitOps with Argo CD and Helm.
• Build and maintain GitLab CI pipelines for infrastructure and platform services.
• Integrate corporate SSO through Microsoft Entra ID, keeping user and group IDs consistent across all sites.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, encryption, key management, least‑privilege access and audit logging with Prometheus, Grafana and Vault.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, platform or cloud engineering with ownership of production environments.
• Strong hands‑on expertise with AWS (VPC, IAM, EKS, EC2, S3, KMS) and Terraform.
• Production‑grade experience with Linux, Ansible, Kubernetes, Helm and Argo CD.
• Proven ability to build CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI or GitHub Actions) and integrate SSO (OIDC/SAML) using Keycloak and Microsoft Entra ID.
