Senior Order-to-Cash Specialist

About the role

The Senior Billing Specialist is a key contributor to the Order‑to‑Cash (OTC) team, responsible for accurate and timely preparation of customer invoices, contract processing, and billing documentation across a broad range of product lines and billing models. The role owns critical billing queues, standard operating procedures, and key customer accounts while supporting cross‑functional projects.

Key responsibilities

• Process the full range of contracts across all product lines for a global customer base, handling new business, add‑ons, renewals, replacements, terminations, extensions, and hybrid models.
• Execute month‑end and mid‑month billing cycles for SaaS, license, and services products, including adjustments and renewals.
• Assist with the Finance Queue and Salesforce billing tickets to ensure timely resolution of billing inquiries.
• Manage customer usage commit balances, license extensions, and new license requests.
• Maintain and update Billing SOPs, and support team onboarding and training.
• Identify and drive process‑efficiency improvements, leveraging AI tools and automation.
• Lead or assist with billing‑related projects such as pricing changes, new product launches, and process enhancements.
• Own key customer accounts, serving as a subject‑matter expert for billing inquiries and escalations.
• Partner with Revenue Accounting, Deal Desk, Sales Operations, and Legal to ensure efficient transaction processing.
• Support ad‑hoc projects, periodic external audits, and cross‑functional initiatives.

Required profile

• 5+ years of invoicing and billing experience, preferably with SaaS, usage‑based models, and a global customer base.
• Proficiency with large ERP systems and billing/revenue management tools, ideally Zuora, Salesforce, and Workday.
• Track record of implementing process improvements using technology.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Experience in a high‑growth SaaS or technology company is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting preferred.
