Senior HSE Engineer

About the role

Goldwind International Georgia LLC is looking for an experienced Senior HSE Engineer to lead health, safety and environment activities across wind farm construction, commissioning, operation and maintenance projects in Georgia. You will work closely with the Project Management Team to embed HSE best practices throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the project‑wide HSE strategy, budget, guidelines and KPIs.
• Identify occupational, environmental and asset‑related risks and design mitigation measures.
• Create, maintain and audit HSE policies, plans and records in line with contractual and international standards.
• Conduct regular site HSE inspections, internal audits and compile corrective action reports.
• Lead meetings with internal teams, EPC contractors, suppliers and subcontractors to ensure HSE compliance.
• Support external audits from clients or financing banks.
• Establish safety regulations, promote HSE awareness and organise training programmes.
• Participate in regional and global HSE forums to share best practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience as an HSE Engineer, supervisor or equivalent.
• Valid driving licence and unrestricted ability to travel internationally.
• Fluency in English and Georgian.
• Completed mandatory HSE courses and relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA).
• Strong knowledge of PTW (Permit‑to‑Work) management and at least one international standard such as EBRD, IFC or ADB.
• Hands‑on experience preparing documentation to international standards.
• Expertise in Georgian occupational health and safety legislation.
