Senior Data Platform Engineer

About the role

TradingView is building a Reference Data Management platform and needs a senior data engineer to shape its architecture. This is a build‑focused role where you will transform existing services into a clean, transparent platform used by a global audience of traders and investors.

Key responsibilities

• Optimize the current platform and convert pipelines into controlled, transparent processes.
• Design and implement new data processing components and pipelines.
• Develop self‑service tools for developers, analysts, stewards, and domain owners.
• Implement data quality checks and make them extensible for teams.
• Create golden‑record determination mechanisms for reference data.
• Participate in hiring as the team expands.

Required profile

• 4–6 years of experience as a Data Engineer.
• Strong proficiency in Python, the primary language of the platform.
• Deep SQL knowledge, including query profiling and optimization.
• Hands‑on experience with at least one batch orchestration tool (Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, or Kestra).
• Experience with dbt and data‑quality frameworks (Great Expectations, Soda, or similar).
• Familiarity with OLTP/OLAP databases such as Postgres and ClickHouse.
• Experience with data lake or lakehouse concepts and time‑travel capabilities.
