Senior Backend Engineer (Identity & Access Management)

About the role

Andersen is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build and operate high‑throughput identity services on a scalable distributed platform. You will work with Go, gRPC and modern authentication protocols to deliver secure, low‑latency solutions for a global financial and protection services client.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and operate identity services such as SSO, MFA, session management and federation.
• Own features end‑to‑end from design through production and support.
• Implement OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT issuance, rotation and revocation strategies.
• Write clean, concurrent Go code and define clear API contracts (gRPC/HTTP).
• Deploy and automate identity infrastructure using CI/CD, monitoring and incident‑response tooling.
• Lead security reviews, threat modeling and guide teams on secure integrations.
• Integrate with identity providers like Keycloak and AWS Cognito and maintain federation patterns.
• Mentor engineers, conduct design reviews and contribute to the technical roadmap.

Required profile

• 7+ years of backend engineering experience, including 5+ years with Go.
• Hands‑on production experience with IAM systems and authentication/authorization protocols.
• Deep knowledge of web security, OWASP Top 10, and secure coding practices.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred), Kubernetes and IaC tools (Terraform, Terragrunt, OpenTofu).
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain security trade‑offs to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• English proficiency at Upper‑Intermediate level or higher.
