Senior Back-end Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer with strong .NET expertise to design, build and maintain high‑performance backend services that power our platforms. The role combines hands‑on development with ownership of service reliability, performance and scalability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable .NET backend services and APIs.
• Collaborate with developers, DevOps, product owners and other stakeholders to deliver secure solutions.
• Participate in technical design discussions and continuously improve architecture and performance.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and real‑time features such as WebSockets.
• Integrate with SQL and NoSQL databases, message brokers (e.g., Kafka), caching systems (e.g., Redis) and third‑party services.
• Write clean, reusable, testable code and enforce code‑quality standards through reviews.
• Debug, monitor and optimise backend systems for scalability, security and uptime.
• Maintain technical documentation and API guidelines.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, focused on backend development.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience with .NET.
• Proven experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs.
• Strong understanding of backend architecture, microservices and API security best practices.
• Experience with Agile development processes and collaborative Git workflows.
