Senior Accountant

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to lead our daily accounting operations, monitor cash flows and prepare financial statements for management. You will ensure the accuracy of all financial records and support strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the company’s accounting processes and verify the accuracy of income, expenses, purchases, imports, inventories and bank transactions.
• Oversee month‑end and year‑end closing procedures.
• Control debit and credit balances, bank accounts and other significant liabilities.
• Monitor payment calendars and scheduled disbursements.
• Administer payroll, confirming salaries, bonuses, advances and related taxes.
• Prepare data for tax declarations and statistical reporting.
• Coordinate with external accounting firms, auditors, banks and consultants, providing required financial information.
• Produce regular financial reports for management.
• Prepare weekly and monthly cash‑flow statements, update actual data and forecast short‑term cash needs.
• Analyze income, expenses, margin and profitability by business unit, project or product, compare results with plans and explain variances.
• Communicate actively with other departments to obtain timely financial information.
• Assign tasks to junior accountants, review primary documentation and control deadlines.

Required profile

• Higher education in accounting, finance or a related field.
• At least four years of experience in an accounting position.
• Experience using the RS.ge portal.
• Knowledge of Georgian tax legislation and accounting standards.
• Proven ability to prepare cash‑flow statements and financial reports.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
• Experience with 1C/Balance software.
• Working‑level proficiency in English.
