About the role

The Respiratory Therapist Supervisor leads the daily shift, ensuring safe and effective patient care through independent clinical judgment and support. The position blends direct patient care, equipment management, and staff mentorship to maintain high‑quality respiratory services.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the shift by assigning patient loads, ensuring safety, and coordinating interdisciplinary communication.
• Evaluate staff performance, provide clinical guidance, and foster teamwork and professional growth.
• Monitor equipment and inventory, support staffing needs, and assist with orientation, training, and competency assessments.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of patient‑care standards and participate in process‑improvement initiatives.
• Conduct patient rounds to assess care quality and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Support initiatives related to patient safety, customer service, and quality outcomes.

Required profile

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy (preferred).
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and NBRC‑RRT or RCP.
• Minimum two years of clinical experience in critical‑care settings.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities to support staff and patient needs.

Required skills

• BLS (Basic Life Support).
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support).
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support).
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program).
• NBRC‑RRT or RCP certification.
• Equipment management and medication administration.
