Registered Nurse (RN) - Surgery/Bariatric - Acute Care

About the role

The RN Clinical Nurse collaborates within an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, safe, patient‑centered care. They utilize evidence‑based practices, perform the nursing process, and adapt care to meet individual patient needs, including cultural considerations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care using critical thinking.
• Provide relationship‑based care tailored to patient demographics.
• Partner with patients and families via bedside reports, education, and updates.
• Coordinate documentation and delivery of safe, quality care promoting teamwork and inclusive communication.
• Participate in performance improvement, research, and evidence‑based practice initiatives.
• Serve as a preceptor or mentor, supporting professional development.
• Ensure compliance with policies, legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards.
• Support resource management and protocol development for optimal outcomes.

Required profile

• Associates or Bachelor of Nursing preferred; active RN license (single state or multi‑state compact).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Less than 1 year of clinical experience preferred; new graduates considered.
• Strong clinical knowledge, communication skills, teamwork, and commitment to evidence‑based practice.
