Registered Nurse (RN) - Surgery/Bariatric - Acute Care

About the role

The RN Clinical Nurse is an integral part of an interdisciplinary team, delivering high‑quality, safe, and individualized patient care in a surgical/bariatric acute‑care setting.

Key responsibilities

• Perform the full nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using critical thinking and evidence‑based standards.
• Provide patient‑centered care to diverse populations, respecting cultural differences and partnering with patients and families.
• Coordinate safe, quality care through effective communication, documentation, and participation in performance‑improvement activities.
• Support professional development by completing ongoing education, mentoring, and serving as a preceptor to new staff and students.
• Promote research, evidence‑based practice, and participate in data collection and quality initiatives.

Required profile

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of direct patient‑care experience.
• Current RN license (single state and multi‑state compact), BLS certification, and BLS instructor or provisional status.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, time‑management, critical‑thinking, and collaborative skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and respond effectively to emergencies.

Required skills
