About the role

The Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical (Days) delivers high‑quality nursing care to patients on a medical‑surgical unit. Working within a multidisciplinary team, the RN assesses, plans, implements and evaluates patient needs while acting as a liaison for patients and families. The position focuses on day‑shift patient care, documentation and continuous quality improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and evaluate patient conditions, develop and communicate individualized care plans, and document all care activities accurately.
• Advocate for patients by addressing concerns, providing education, and ensuring satisfaction for patients and families.
• Participate in performance‑improvement initiatives, contributing ideas and supporting changes to enhance outcomes.
• Maintain professional competence through ongoing education, certifications and involvement in professional organizations.
• Mentor and support colleagues, fostering a positive work environment and promoting professional growth.

Required profile

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• Valid RN license (single‑state or multi‑state compact).

• BLS certification.
