QA Engineer – VoIP (Functional & Performance Testing)

About the role

Astra Tech is seeking a QA Engineer specialized in VoIP to ensure the quality and reliability of its voice and video communication applications. You will work within an Agile team to validate both functional and non‑functional aspects of the platform, contributing to a seamless user experience across multiple services.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive functional and non‑functional testing of VoIP applications.
• Validate backend APIs for correct data handling and integration.
• Use specialized tools to measure audio and video quality.
• Conduct performance and stability testing under varied network conditions.
• Develop and execute automation scripts for mobile UI and backend API testing.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align on Agile processes.
• Provide detailed defect reports, performance analyses, and improvement recommendations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
• Proven QA experience in voice and video communication industry.
• Hands‑on experience with products such as Zoom, Webex, WhatsApp, or Telegram.
• Strong knowledge of functional and non‑functional testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with audio/video quality evaluation tools.
• Experience in automation testing for mobile UI and backend APIs.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in an Agile environment.
• Excellent English communication skills.
