Operations Manager

About the role

The Operations Manager will oversee day-to-day operational activities to ensure efficient delivery of maritime consulting and surveying services. This full-time, on-site role in Batumi includes coordinating projects, managing workflows, monitoring performance metrics, and ensuring compliance with internal procedures and external standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate projects and manage workflows across multiple locations and associate networks.
• Monitor performance metrics and ensure compliance with internal procedures and external standards.
• Collaborate with surveyors, consultants, and administrative staff to allocate resources effectively.
• Support scheduling and logistics, maintaining quality assurance processes.
• Manage client communications on operational matters and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Identify and mitigate operational risks in a fast‑paced environment.

Required profile

• Operational management and process improvement experience.
• Strong project coordination and organizational abilities.
• Knowledge of maritime industry operations, surveying practices, or marine insurance processes (beneficial).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with office productivity software and basic data/reporting tools.
• Experience with quality management systems and ISO compliance.
• Ability to make decisions, solve problems, and manage operational risks.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, operations management, maritime studies, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Batumi and travel to other locations as needed.
