Mobile Developer (Android/Kotlin)

About the role

Admirals is looking for a Mobile Developer to join its fintech/trading team. You will work on a production‑grade mobile application that supports account management, investing, trading, payments, onboarding, verification, analytics, and customer support.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance Android features across trading, investing, payments, onboarding, notifications, and settings.
• Build reliable UI using Android Views/Fragments and Jetpack Compose.
• Implement architecture with ViewModels, coroutines, Flow, and clean separation of presentation, domain, and data layers.
• Integrate backend services using Retrofit, OkHttp, and Kotlin Serialization.
• Handle local persistence and background tasks with Room, DataStore, Paging, WorkManager, and lifecycle‑aware APIs.
• Maintain Firebase, analytics, crash reporting, push messaging, feature flags, and payment/KYC SDKs.
• Write and maintain unit and Android UI tests, improve test coverage, and investigate production issues.
• Collaborate with iOS developers to ensure feature parity and consistent analytics.
• Participate in code reviews, feature planning, release preparation, and CI/CD improvements.

Required profile

• Strong Android development experience in a Kotlin‑based codebase.
• Ability to work closely with product, backend, QA, design, compliance, and analytics teams.
• Proactive attitude toward debugging, performance optimisation, and continuous improvement.
