Media Optimization Director – Lead Mixed Teams

About the role

We are seeking a senior operational leader to head our Media Optimization (House Pod) team, driving high‑quality execution, process improvement and cross‑functional alignment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coach a mixed team of team leads, ensuring strong collaboration, clear ownership and effective execution across the region.
• Build career paths, competency frameworks and development plans; conduct performance reviews and support succession planning.
• Monitor team utilization, balance workloads, and define hiring plans and organisational structure.
• Identify and mitigate operational risks related to capacity proactively.
• Establish scalable workflows, documentation standards and best practices for all operational teams.
• Own and continuously improve processes for campaign onboarding, launch, optimisation, reporting, troubleshooting and close‑out.
• Ensure consistent delivery quality and adherence to internal SLAs while driving automation and process optimisation.
• Partner with Client Services, Planning and Growth to align day‑to‑day execution with broader client and company goals.
• Take full responsibility for regional operational health, client outcomes and margin‑related goals, managing issues proactively.
• Lead cross‑functional problem solving, building action plans and driving resolution with internal teams and leadership.
• Drive strategic projects such as automation, reporting enhancements, onboarding improvements and overall operational optimisation.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in a digital marketing agency with a strong background in programmatic advertising.
• Strong people‑management skills, able to coach and develop team leads or senior specialists.
• Demonstrated accountability for regional or multi‑account operations, client satisfaction and business outcomes.
• Strategic thinking and problem‑solving ability to build and execute action plans.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across Client Services, Growth, Planning and Strategy.
• Risk‑management mindset with the ability to identify issues early, escalate proactively and keep stakeholders informed.
• English proficiency at C1 level.
