Lead iOS Developer

About the role

Impel is looking for a Lead iOS Developer to head its mobile team delivering the Impel Capture app to thousands of automotive retailers worldwide. You will guide a cross‑functional group of engineers, shape architecture, and contribute hands‑on to high‑impact iOS features.

Key responsibilities

• Lead an agile mobile team through daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Recruit, retain, mentor, and evaluate engineers, assigning work and supporting career development.
• Collaborate with product owners and architects on feature estimation, design, and technical decisions.
• Design and implement performant, maintainable iOS code that meets commercial requirements.
• Participate in architecture reviews, enforce best engineering practices, and stay current with industry trends.
• When capacity allows, write production‑grade Swift code and contribute to CoreML models.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading mobile development teams in an agile environment.
• Strong background in iOS development with a focus on performance and scalability.
• Excellent communication skills for mentoring and cross‑functional collaboration.
• Ability to balance hands‑on coding with people‑management responsibilities.
