Lead Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Lead Accountant to head the day‑to‑day accounting function for our international operations based in Georgia. The role blends hands‑on accounting, quality control, team leadership and senior‑level communication with group companies across multiple countries.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a small accounting team (AP & Banking Accountant, GL & Reporting Accountant), allocate workload and ensure deadlines are met.
• Review and sign‑off month‑end closing activities, account reconciliations and overall accounting postings for accuracy and compliance.
• Perform quality control, identify accounting risks, process gaps and implement improvements.
• Prepare schedules and explanations for external auditors, coordinate year‑end audit activities and respond to senior‑level requests.
• Act as primary contact for group companies on accounting matters, manage day‑to‑day communication and coordinate with external service providers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 5+ years of full‑cycle accounting experience, including supervising other accountants.
• Experience in an international, multi‑entity and multi‑currency environment.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (or similar ERP system).
• Advanced Excel for reconciliations, analysis and cash‑flow reporting.
