Land and Agriculture Associate

About the role

This full‑time position is based wherever the right candidate lives in the Global South. You will work remotely, with occasional site visits and international travel as projects develop.

Key responsibilities

• Research markets, locate land parcels, contact owners and brokers, and assess agricultural opportunities.
• Analyse prices, usable acreage, soil quality, water access, local regulations, planting costs, available crews and routes to market.
• Collaborate with local advisors and specialists to verify data and avoid misleading offers.
• Drive deals through purchase, planting and ongoing management, delivering clear, actionable reports.
• Identify trends and propose new investment opportunities across emerging markets.

Required profile

• Degree in agriculture, agronomy, forestry, agribusiness, real estate or a related field.
• Ability to research land and investment opportunities and communicate conclusions clearly.
• Basic financial modelling skills to compare costs and returns.
• Fluent written and spoken English; additional languages such as Spanish or Portuguese are a plus.
• Strong interest in international business, investment and willingness to travel.
• Honesty, quick learning ability and readiness to take responsibility without prior experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using GIS or other mapping tools.
