Junior Analyst - International Business Development

About the role

Lion Finance Group PLC is seeking a motivated Junior Analyst to support the International Business Development team, reporting directly to the CEO. The role offers early‑career professionals exposure to strategic market analysis, M&A processes and cross‑border initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct strategic market and financial analysis of international banking sectors, competitors and regulatory environments.
• Evaluate financial performance of potential acquisition targets, dissecting income statements and balance sheets.
• Build and maintain financial models and analytical tools in Excel for valuation and decision support.
• Produce concise analytical reports and presentations for senior stakeholders.
• Assist throughout the M&A lifecycle, from screening to due diligence and investment memoranda preparation.
• Track progress of strategic initiatives and keep stakeholders informed of milestones.
• Support senior team members in executing cross‑border transactions and strategic partnerships.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
• 6–12 months of experience in financial analysis, corporate finance or investment banking.
• Strong understanding of financial statements and core analysis principles.
• Fluency in English; intermediate Russian is a plus.
• Analytical mindset, attention to detail, proactive drive and clear communication skills.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial modeling.
• Strong PowerPoint skills for creating executive‑level presentations.
• Ability to interpret and analyze income statements and balance sheets.
