Junior Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Accountant to join Girteka Group’s finance team, supporting our logistics business across Europe. The role involves handling core accounting tasks, processing vendor invoices, and ensuring accurate financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Process incoming vendor invoices accurately and ensure timely payments.
• Maintain vendor records, resolve discrepancies, and communicate with suppliers.
• Prepare journal entries, ledgers, trial balances, and assist in financial statement preparation.
• Perform bank reconciliations and support fixed asset or inventory accounting.
• Meet period‑end closing deadlines and contribute to continuous improvement of AP processes.
• Assist the Team Lead or Line Manager with additional accounting tasks as required.

Required profile

• Education in finance, economics, accounting or business administration.
• Relevant experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
• Strong analytical thinking, responsibility and flexibility.
• Ability to handle large data flows efficiently.
• Fluent English, both spoken and written.
