IT Infra Innovation Tech Assistant Manager

About the role

We are seeking an IT Infra Innovation Tech Assistant Manager to design, build and support next‑generation IT infrastructure for Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America’s EV production plant. The role combines hands‑on technical work with leadership responsibilities, ensuring reliable, high‑performance services across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Identify requirements and develop new IT infrastructures and applications, including P‑5G, Wi‑Fi 6 and containerization technologies.
• Configure, maintain and troubleshoot Linux‑based systems.
• Monitor, analyze and report IT infrastructure metrics.
• Integrate and optimise VMware vSphere for virtualization.
• Deliver highly available IT services in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
• Mentor and coach team members to foster a high‑performance culture.
• Support the manager in strategic planning and operational decision‑making.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, IT or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of proven experience in IT infrastructure engineering.
• Strong understanding of network terminology, protocols and infrastructures.
• Expertise in Linux server administration and troubleshooting.
• Experience supporting cross‑functional IT systems.
• Knowledge of hypervisor and container technologies such as VMware vSphere, Hyper‑V and Docker.
• Familiarity with databases (MariaDB, Oracle, MSSQL, Tibero).
• Proficiency in programming languages.
• Basic experience with visualization tools like Grafana or Prometheus.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
