House Supervisor - PRN Days

About the role

The RN House Supervisor provides hospital‑wide leadership, overseeing clinical, operational, and safety functions in the absence of senior leaders. This role promotes quality care, staff development, and a culture of safety through effective communication, collaboration, and evidence‑based practices.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate hospital operations, ensuring efficient resource deployment and adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
• Supervise department supervisors, charge nurses, and assist in staffing and coaching staff.
• Manage incident response, emergency procedures, and patient throughput activities.
• Foster communication among physicians, staff, and patients to promote teamwork and service excellence.
• Implement performance improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma principles and evidence‑based practices.
• Serve as a safety officer, proactively mitigating risks and ensuring compliance with quality standards.
• Support hospital goals by maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and a positive attitude.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years clinical experience and 2 years in nursing leadership or supervision.
• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Nursing, Business Administration, or Health Administration.
• Current RN licensure (single‑state or multi‑state Compact).
• Required certifications include BLS and preferably ACLS.
