House Supervisor - PRN Days

About the role

The RN House Supervisor provides hospital‑wide leadership on a PRN (as‑needed) basis, ensuring safe, high‑quality patient care and smooth operational flow across all departments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate hospital operations to deliver safe, quality care while maintaining a positive hospital image.
• Supervise department supervisors and charge nurses, assisting with staffing, resource allocation, and emergency response.
• Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement using Lean Six Sigma, performance management, and evidence‑based practices.
• Facilitate effective communication among staff, physicians, patients, and visitors; resolve conflicts and address complaints.
• Manage hospital surge plans, patient flow, and emergency codes; act as on‑site command center leader during crises.
• Support staff development, mentor team members, and uphold professional and ethical standards.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and uphold safety standards through data analysis and proactive risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with other facilities to address operational capacity and resource needs.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing, Business Administration, or Health Administration.
• Active RN license (single or multi‑state) with BLS certification; ACLS preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years clinical experience and 2 years leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong communication, leadership, problem‑solving, and teamwork abilities; capable of managing emergency situations effectively.
