Founding Engineer (Flutter)

About the role

GR8_TECH is seeking a Founding Engineer to own and drive the frontend mobile architecture of its flagship iGaming platform. You will build high‑throughput, low‑latency Flutter applications that serve millions of active users while raising engineering standards across teams.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain high‑level mobile system architecture, ensuring stability, modularity, and performance.
• Translate business goals into technical blueprints, set benchmarks for startup time, memory usage, and frame rates.
• Evaluate new mobile technologies and design migration strategies for legacy codebases, including native add‑to‑app integrations.
• Lead incident response, root‑cause analysis, and performance optimisation using Dart isolates and profiling tools.
• Partner with product, stream leads, and engineering teams to align roadmaps, standardise CI/CD pipelines, and manage store submissions.
• Mentor senior and mid‑level engineers, conduct code reviews, and support personal development planning.

Required profile

• 7+ years of commercial software development, with at least 3 years focused on Flutter/Dart.
• Proven experience as a founding engineer or primary architect of large‑scale, high‑load enterprise mobile applications.
• Strong technical leadership, system design skills, and ability to balance quality with delivery speed.
• Hands‑on experience with real‑time data handling (WebSockets, protobuf/JSON) and mobile security (certificate pinning, obfuscation).
• Effective communication across engineering and non‑technical stakeholders and a mentorship mindset.
