Equipment Maintenance Manager

About the role

APM Terminals Poti, part of the A.P. Moller‑Maersk Group, is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Manager to lead safe, reliable and cost‑effective maintenance of terminal equipment. You will drive downtime reduction, improve equipment performance and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and develop the port equipment maintenance team.
• Oversee maintenance and repair of electrical, electronic, mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• Execute preventive maintenance programs using the IFS CMMS system.
• Coordinate repair activities with operational requirements while maintaining quality and efficiency.
• Monitor contractor performance and support spare‑parts procurement.
• Prepare maintenance, damage and repair reports and maintain equipment records.
• Promote a strong safety culture through training, incident reporting and preventive actions.

Required profile

• Higher technical education in engineering or a related discipline.
• 5‑7 years of experience in port crane or equipment maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of complex electrical, electronic, mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• Proven ability to manage technical personnel and develop team capability.
• Fluency in English; Georgian preferred, Russian considered an advantage.
