DevOps/SRE Engineer – Proxy Infrastructure

About the role

SOAX is looking for a hands‑on DevOps/SRE Engineer to own and evolve its geo‑distributed proxy platform. You will work on a high‑load system that routes HTTP/HTTPS/SOCKS5/TCP/UDP traffic across millions of bare‑metal nodes worldwide, fully remote with a four‑day work week.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve production incidents, including on‑call duties.
• Re‑architect existing infrastructure to production‑grade standards (monitoring, alerting, CI/CD pipelines, disaster recovery).
• Debug low‑level network issues, optimize routing, and analyze latency across regions.
• Automate repetitive tasks and build reliable tooling.
• Identify structural problems, propose solutions, and lead end‑to‑end implementation.

Required profile

• Strong networking fundamentals (subnetting, NAT, routing, DNS, TLS) and the ability to reason through scenarios live.
• Hands‑on experience with bare‑metal servers and physical infrastructure.
• Genuine curiosity for DevOps, demonstrated by personal projects or self‑driven experimentation.
• Comfortable working independently, handling ambiguous problems, and responding to incidents at any hour.

• Bare‑metal infrastructure management.
• DevOps tooling and automation (monitoring, alerting, CI/CD pipelines).
• Linux/Unix environment proficiency.
