Civil & Structural Engineer – Construction Supervision

About the role

SMEC, a member of the Surbana Jurong Group, is seeking experienced Civil & Structural Engineers to join a major roads, highways, tunnels, and bridge infrastructure project. The role focuses on construction supervision activities and will support the project from the expression of interest stage through potential award.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise construction works across roads, bridges, tunnels, and earthworks.
• Monitor contractor performance and ensure technical compliance with project specifications.
• Review and assess drawings, method statements, and technical submissions.
• Maintain adherence to quality, safety, and project standards.
• Coordinate with site teams, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary consultants.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience on infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience in construction supervision of roads, tunnels, or bridges.
• Strong understanding of site practices and technical compliance requirements.
