Back-End Developer (Node.js & PHP/Laravel)

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Back-End Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js and PHP/Laravel. You will own the performance and reliability of APIs that power our mobile and web platforms in the iGaming sector.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services and APIs with Node.js (TypeScript) and PHP/Laravel (Nova).
• Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and product owners to deliver secure, robust solutions.
• Participate in technical design discussions and continuously improve architecture.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs, including real‑time features such as WebSockets.
• Integrate with SQL/NoSQL databases, message brokers, third‑party services, and external APIs.
• Write clean, reusable, testable code and conduct code reviews.
• Debug, optimize, and ensure high performance, scalability, and security of backend systems.
• Maintain technical documentation and API guidelines.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on backend development.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities.
• Autonomous, resourceful, and able to work effectively in a hybrid team environment.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Required skills

• Node.js, TypeScript (Nest.js a plus), PHP, Laravel (Nova).
• Design and integration of RESTful APIs (SOAP exposure a plus).
• Git, GitHub/GitLab, Agile workflows.
• Testing frameworks: Jest, Mocha, Supertest.
• CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Cloud platforms: AWS (preferred), GCP, Azure.
• Message brokers: Kafka, RabbitMQ.
• Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis.
• Infrastructure as code: Terraform, CloudFormation.
• Authentication/authorization: OAuth2, JWT, OpenID Connect.
