Senior Security and Networking Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Security and Networking Engineer to strengthen the security and reliability of our network infrastructure. The role focuses on protecting high‑traffic platforms, managing edge security solutions and collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate security incidents and optimise security configurations across the platform.
• Collaborate with Security, DevOps, Infrastructure and Application teams to enhance protection.
• Configure and manage DDoS protection, bot mitigation and web‑application firewall solutions.
• Analyse HTTP/HTTPS traffic to detect and mitigate potential threats.
• Maintain and enhance edge security solutions on the Akamai platform.
• Troubleshoot networking issues related to TCP/IP, DNS, CDN and TLS/SSL.
• Ensure high availability through load‑balancing and proxy configurations.
• Develop expertise in Akamai security products to support platform operations.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in network security and web‑application security.
• Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, CDN, TLS/SSL, load balancing, proxies).
• Understanding of WAF concepts and experience with DDoS protection, bot mitigation and edge security solutions.
• Ability to quickly acquire expertise in the Akamai platform.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for security incident investigation.
• Proven experience working with Security, DevOps, Infrastructure and Application teams.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
