Lead Azure Engineer

About the role

EPAM is looking for a Lead Azure Engineer to drive technical solutions and elevate DevOps practices across its clients. You will shape Azure architectures, mentor teams, and ensure high‑quality, cost‑effective cloud implementations.

Key responsibilities

• Configure, monitor and maintain cost‑effective Microsoft Azure solutions.
• Ensure compliance with security, quality, scalability, resiliency and regulatory standards.
• Write reusable, high‑quality code following established coding standards.
• Create clear technical documentation, reusable assets and guidance.
• Apply best DevOps practices and leverage appropriate technologies.
• Provide technical direction for DevOps across solution groups and third‑party partners.
• Collaborate effectively with stakeholders throughout the organization.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience with Azure Cloud and Azure DevOps.
• Proven ability to architect applications using cloud PaaS services.
• Hands‑on experience implementing DevOps across the full stack (database, services, code, deployment & monitoring) in Azure.
• Strong background in Infrastructure‑as‑Code (Terraform, ARM templates or CloudFormation) on multi‑cloud environments.
• Development experience with Java, C# or JavaScript.
• Proficiency with containers and orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes and Helm.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, TeamCity or similar.
• Competence in at least one scripting language (Bash, Python, PowerShell, etc.).
• English level B2 or higher, both spoken and written.
