Remote Accountant – Healthcare & Insurance Focus

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant to join Pharmbills remotely, supporting healthcare providers and insurance partners. The role focuses on accurate financial processing, client account management, and compliance while working on New York time zone hours.

Key responsibilities

• Manage client accounts, coordinate with insurance companies, and keep patient records up to date.
• Track payments and billing, process, monitor, and verify financial transactions.
• Enter data and verify policies to ensure insurance and financial records are current.
• Generate monthly financial summaries and client‑requested reports.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow security and compliance guidelines.
• Resolve account issues and handle internal system tickets.

Required profile

• Experience in accounting, preferably within healthcare or insurance.
• Proficiency with accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Understanding of financial reports, including profit & loss statements.
• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent English communication (B2 level or higher).
• Proactive attitude and ability to work independently.
