Manager, Sales Investigations

About the role

Centene is seeking a Manager, Sales Investigations to lead a team of Sales Investigators and Senior Sales Investigators. This role is responsible for overseeing investigations into sales‑agent, agency, broker, and related sales‑practice misconduct, ensuring compliance with internal policies, CMS requirements, and regulatory expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day operations for the investigations team, assigning cases based on risk, complexity, and investigator capability.
• Ensure investigative work is documented clearly, defensibly, and aligns with CMS, Medicare Advantage, Marketplace, and Medicaid guidelines.
• Conduct formal quality reviews of investigative plans, evidence, interviews, analysis, findings, and reports, providing coaching as needed.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for complex, sensitive, or novel matters and coordinate with Legal, Compliance, HR, Sales Operations, and business leaders.
• Track and report operational and quality metrics, identifying trends, recurring issues, and control weaknesses.
• Support hiring, onboarding, performance management, and skills development to build a high‑performing investigative team.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing investigative or compliance teams, preferably in a health‑care or insurance environment.
• Strong understanding of Medicare Advantage, Marketplace, Medicaid, and related sales conduct regulations.
• Excellent leadership, coaching, and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Ability to prioritize high‑risk cases and ensure timely, accurate investigations.
