Fashion Design Assistant

About the role

DALOOD, a Georgian contemporary fashion brand, is seeking a creative and detail‑oriented Fashion Design Assistant to support its design team throughout the collection development cycle. This hands‑on position offers the chance to be involved from research and concept creation to fittings, sample production, and final delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the design team during seasonal collection development.
• Conduct visual, trend, fabric, colour and market research.
• Create moodboards, reference files and collection development materials.
• Develop sketches, technical drawings and design specifications.
• Prepare and update technical packs and product information.
• Support fabric, trim and colour selection and maintain archives.
• Collaborate with pattern makers, sample machinists and production staff.
• Attend fittings, record comments and follow up on sample changes.
• Track samples and ensure clear communication of design updates.
• Help prepare collections for fittings, shoots, presentations and showroom appointments.
• Maintain organised records of styles, fabrics, trims and collection progress.
• Provide day‑to‑day creative and organisational assistance to the design team.

Required profile

• Degree or relevant education in Fashion Design.
• Strong understanding of garment construction, fabrics and fit.
• Excellent drawing and technical illustration abilities.
• Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Sharp visual eye with sensitivity to proportion, detail and finishing.
• Highly organised, precise and able to manage multiple tasks.
• Proactive, capable of working independently and within a team.
• Genuine interest in contemporary fashion and the DALOOD aesthetic.
• Curious, motivated and eager to develop in a professional design environment.
