Engineering Manager, Language Security (Remote)

About the role

TuxCare is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead its Language Security Research function. You will own four specialist teams that deliver security patches for end‑of‑life and active open‑source language runtimes such as Java, JavaScript/Node.js, Go, Python and PHP. This remote position combines deep technical expertise with strong people leadership in a fast‑moving security delivery environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop four engineering teams (≈18 engineers) across Java, JavaScript/Go, Python and PHP.
• Define hiring plans, conduct performance reviews and drive career development.
• Set technical direction and enforce standards for CVE analysis, vulnerability assessment, patch backporting and security release processes.
• Ensure consistency of tooling, CI/CD pipelines and workflow automation across all language ecosystems.
• Own SLA compliance, align delivery with client expectations and coordinate with OS, Docker and platform teams.
• Act as the final escalation point for complex cross‑team security issues.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of hands‑on software development experience across multiple language ecosystems.
• Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams in a security or infrastructure context.
• Strong understanding of vulnerability lifecycle, CVE handling and security patch delivery.
• Ability to drive technical excellence, accountability and continuous improvement.
