Application Support Engineer (Support Level 1)

About the role

We are looking for an Application Support Engineer to join the dxFeed Technical Support team. You will work with B2B clients using our market‑data products, troubleshoot high‑load financial systems, and help improve our processes and architecture.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support to B2B clients using dxFeed market‑data products.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in high‑load market‑data delivery systems.
• Communicate technical guidance, recommendations, and integration support to clients.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, interactions, and resolutions.
• Identify root causes of problems and propose long‑term solutions.
• Participate in system architecture discussions, documentation, and test planning.
• Assist with rollout of new products and services.
• Monitor system health, performance, and software behavior.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, technical writers, sales, legal, and finance teams.
• Interact with external market‑data providers, exchanges, brokers, and trading firms.
• Provide training and knowledge sharing for users and teammates.
• Stay current with FinTech and market‑data technology trends while following security, quality, and compliance standards.

Required profile

• General interest in finance, trading, or investments.
• Experience working with global clients.
• Strong communication and soft‑skill abilities.
• Ability to respond quickly to tickets, monitoring alerts, calls, and chats.
• Problem‑identification mindset and resilience in a fast‑changing environment.

Required skills

• Linux/Unix basics.
• Bash scripting and command‑line proficiency.
• Configuration file inspection and modification.
• Log file analysis and troubleshooting.
